the weeknd is top tier and it's not even close. dude basically makes porn with better production. sza and frank ocean are solid A tier. stuff that sets a mood without being corny about it. lana del rey is B tier because it works but only if you're already in that specific vibe, otherwise it's just depressing. bottom tier is straight up garbage like marvin gaye. i know i'm committing sin saying that but "let's get it on" has not aged well for actual hookups, it's what people put on when they're trying too hard to seem smooth. someone play something and think they're doing a bit.
